Lync makes it easy for users to create, moderate, and join pre-planned and on-the-fly audio, video, and web meetings with people inside and outside the organization. Join us in May as we go deep into what is happening behind the scenes and show how you can use Lync to replace or expand your current conferencing capabilities.
We'll fully demo and discuss the following specific items:
- Lync 2010 Conferencing capabilities
- Lync's conferencing architecture and scalability
- Platform extensibility and use as your conferencing solution
Joining us this session will be Richard Brynteson, Avtex Sr. Systems Engineer. Richard is a Microsoft Certified Master for Lync and will help us detail the Lync conferencing environment.

The Microsoft Unified Communications
User Group serves to connect and inform individuals who are interested in better understanding UC, developing a UC strategy or deploying UC within their organization.
Our mission is to be a sounding board for the local community, to establish networking and exchange experiences, to share knowledge from a 300-level content background, to build a community around Unified Communications Practitioners and to focus on Microsoft technologies in the Unified Communications space.
Monthly meetings will feature subject matter experts from Microsoft, the Microsoft Partner Community and individuals from companies who are successfully leveraging UC today to improve the way they do business. You can expect open forum discussions of best practices, demos, and showcase examples of how businesses today are utilizing UC technologies to streamline communications, increase collaboration, provide greater workforce mobility and improve customer experiences.
Although MSUCUG caters to organizations of mid-sized to large environments with medium-complex set ups and deployments, all are welcome. We define a mid-sized to large environment as one with 500+ PCs; and we define a medium to complex deployment as one including multiple workloads. |
